I participate in ultra-extreme events because it holds a challenge for me, and because I know it will take me outside of my comfort zone, just like any true adventure does. I don't want to live an ordinary life, but I want my life to ultimately mean something and contribute to the world I live in.

I believe that life affords us every chance to fulfil our dreams if we have the courage to pursue those dreams.

I enjoy the challenge of testing my own limits, of finding how far I can push myself outside of my comfort zone, both physically and mentally. For me it is about the experience, savouring the views, absorbing the energy of the moment and enjoying the company of the people I get to share the experiences with. It gives me a sense of who I am in this world, and allows me to set balanced priorities. For me it is all a journey, the preparation, and the races. It allows me to grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
